Boston, Mass. – March 8, 2014 - Springfield College’s Gabriella Gaudreault (Leominster, Mass.) led the women’s track & field team on Saturday in the 2014 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center at Boston University.
Gaudreault led the Pride as the runner up in the 400-meter run, finishing with a time of 58.20. The senior also ran on two relay teams on Saturday. The 4×200 relay team of Gaudreault, Colleen Rice (Queensbury, N.Y.), Darian Dailey (East Providence, R.I.) and Elizabeth Saia (Wallingford, Conn.) finished in 19th place with a time of 1:46.98. The 4×400 relay team of Gaudreault, Sam Pomroy (Lebanon, Maine), Kimeisha Winkle (Springfield, Mass.) and Rice finished 21st overall in 4:03.16.
The distance medley relay team of Winkle, Pomroy, Elizabeth Beauregard (West Newbury, Mass.) and Abigail Wright (Pittsfield, Mass.) combined for a time of 13:05.68, good for 15th place.
Individually, Pomroy finished in 9th place in the 500m with a time of 1:20.19 and Amanda Martin (Bristol, Conn.) took 12th in the triple jump (10.82m).
As a team, Springfield finished 37th out of 62 teams with eight points. Amherst won the championship with 38 points, MIT (36.50) took second, St. Lawrence (36) finished third, while Rowan (35) and NYU (33) rounded out the top five.
