Springfield, Mass. - March 4, 2019 - Following a pair of dominant performances this past week, sophomore attack Taylor Pichel (Hopkinton, Mass.) of the Springfield College women's lacrosse team earned New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week Honors, which was announced by the conference offices on Monday.
Pichel, a sophomore Athletic Training major at Springfield College, registered 10 points in two games this past week, as the Athletic Training major tallied nine goals and added an assist, while also picking up three ground balls and two draw controls. Helping to the Pride's first 3-0 start since the 2016 season, Pichel notched six goals and added one assist in a 15-10 win over Framingham State, before adding three markers in a 19-8 victory over Eastern Connecticut on Thursday.
