Men's Tennis Falls to Colby-Sawyer, 6-3

New London, N.H. - September 22, 2019 - Playing for the third in the last four days, the Springfield College men's tennis team was defeated by Colby-Sawyer, 6-3, on Sunday afternoon on Kelsey Courts.

Springfield was able to win one of the three doubles matches, as Jack Anastopoulos (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) and James Foley (Fair Haven, N.J.) prevailed by an 8-5 decision at the No. 3 spot.

In singles action, Michael Kendrick (Albany, N.Y.) put together a great performance at the No. 3 position with a 6-1, 7-6 (7-1) victory, while Anastopoulos earned another point for the Pride by virtue of his 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 6. 

The Pride will host Gordon on Wednesday afternoon on Appleton Courts starting at 4 pm.
