Springfield, Mass. - January 22, 2019 - For the second time this season, Springfield College's Connor Pennington (Monson, Mass.) was honored by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) for his efforts on the diving boards.
Pennington was chosen as the NEWMAC Men's Co-Diver of the Week and shared this week's award with Samuel Soloman from MIT.
In a tri-meet split with Wesleyan and Roger Williams on Saturday, the Computer Graphics and Digital Arts major highlighted the meet for the Pride as he produced a pair of national-qualifying scores on the diving boards. The sophomore won the three-meter by nearly 60 points as he totaled a 314.05 before he won the one-meter with a score of 313.05, which was 50 points better than the field.
Springfield will return to action on Saturday when it travels to face Holy Cross at 1 pm.
