  • Women's Gymnastics Produces Fifth-Best GPA In The Country; Best In Division III

    Bowling Green, Ohio - August 23, 2019 - The Springfield College women's gymnastics team was recognized as one of the best academic programs in the country, as it earned a cumulative grade-point average of 3.6932 during the 2018-19 academic year. A total of 16 student-athletes were recognized individually and earned Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-America honors.

    Springfield, Mass. - August 16, 2019 - Springfield College's Barclay Dugger was awarded the College/University Division III Head Athletic Trainer of the Year Award earlier this summer.  Dugger was presented by the College and University Athletic Trainers Association, a sub-committee of the National Athletic Trainers Association, and was honored at a banquet during the National Athletic Trainers Association National Convention in Las Vegas.

Dearing will be joined by Laurie Corbelli, Doug Dannevik, and Jodi Manore and be honored in ceremonies at the 2019 Jostens Coaches Honors Luncheon, held in conjunction with the 2019 AVCA Convention in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Springfield's finish marked the 11th time in the last 12 years that the Pride finished ranked in the top 40 and in the top 10% of the 450 Division III athletic programs in the country.
