Women's Cross Country Races To 14th Place At UMass Dartmouth Invitational

North Dartmouth, Mass. - September 17, 2016 - The Springfield College women's cross country team had a solid showing at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday as it produced a 14th-place finish among the 37 teams in the competition.

Marie Harrington (Limerick, Maine) was sensational as she placed 40th indivually out of 275 runners in the race and clocked in at 19:21.13.  Laura Volan (Scarborough, Maine) was Springfield's next-fastest runner, as she completed the 5k course in 19:58.60 to finish 77th overall. 

Sarah Skillin (Fall River, Mass.) produced a time of 20:20.78, while  Rachael Seymour (Red Hook, N.Y.) and Kristen Madeia (Berlin, Conn.) came in together with times of 20:27.29 and 20:29.51, respectively.

The Pride will race again Saturday, Sept. 24h at the Purple Valley Classic in Williamstown, Mass.
