Springfield, Mass. - November 20, 2017 - Graduate student Delaney Dyjak (Ludlow, Mass.) of the Springfield College women's swimming and diving team has been recognized for her impressive performances this past weekend, as she was tabbed the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Co-Swimmer of the Week, announced on Monday afternoon.
Dyjak, a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, had a pair of strong meets for Springfield College this past week, as on Friday against No. 3 Williams, she took third in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:59.99, before coming back on Saturday in a tri-meet with Keene State and Wheaton, where she had three first-place finishes, winning the 50 freestyle (24.38), 100 freestyle (53.87) and the 100 butterfly (58.43).
Next, Springfield College will hit the road and compete in the Ithaca Invitational, which will be held from Friday, December 1 through Sunday, December 3.
