Women's Lacrosse Upends Elms, 24-3, in NCAA Division III Championship First Round

Hartford, Conn. - May 12, 2018 - Behind seven points from freshman Kate Sarnacki (Granby, Mass.) and a career-best six points from junior Allie Goddard (Acton, Mass.), the Springfield College women's lacrosse team defeated Elms College, 24-3, in the First Round of the 2018 NCAA Division III Championship Tournament, hosted at Jessee/Miller Field on the campus of Trinity College.

Springfield, Mass. - May 6, 2018 - The Springfield College women's lacrosse team earned an at-large bid into the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse National Championship Tournament and will return to the national stage for the second time in the last three seasons, taking on Elms College at host Trinity College in Hartford, Conn. on Saturday, May 12.

Springfield, Mass. - May 2, 2018 - Senior attacker Shelby Corsano (Bourne, Mass.) registered four goals en route to breaking the Springfield College women's lacrosse program records for single-season points and single-season goals, as the Pride defeated Smith College, 14-4, in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship Tournament Quarterfinals on Wednesday evening at Stagg Field.

Springfield, Mass. - April 28, 2018 - Wrapping up the 2018 regular season, the Springfield College women's lacrosse team defeated Emerson, 23-1, in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play on Saturday afternoon at Rotch Field. Leading the Pride was freshman attacker Kate Sarnacki (Granby, Mass.), who had a career-best seven points on five goals and two assists, while senior attacker Shelby Corsano (Bourne, Mass.) recorded six points on four goals and two assists.

Springfield, Mass. - April 23, 2018 - Springfield College's Ann Mahoney (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) of the women's lacrosse team was recognized for her impressive performances last week as she was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week, which was announced on Monday afternoon.

Corsano Breaks Program Record for Career Points; Women's Lacrosse Cruises Past Wellesley, 20-4

Springfield, Mass. - April 21, 2018 - For the second time this season, senior attacker Shelby Corsano (Bourne, Mass.) etched her name into the Springfield College women's lacrosse program's record book, as she earned six points to push her career total to 221, surpassing Holly Carmody '06, who had 220 points from 2003-2006. With Corsano's six-point effort, the Pride was able to defeat Wellesley, 20-4, in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play on Saturday afternoon at Stagg Field.
