Men's Swimming and Diving Competes at MIT

Cambridge, Mass. - November 6, 2016 - The Springfield College men's swimming and diving team competed at MIT on Sunday afternoon.

Erik McKenna (Stamford, Conn.) placed third in the 200 free with a 1:49.91, while in the backstroke events, Austin Von Heeringen (Germantown, Md.) finished fourth in the 100 with a 55.52 before touching in 1:58.13 in the 200. 

In the 500 free, Sean Harnish (Middlebury, Conn.) registered a 5:18.02 for fourth place, Kent Parsons (Hamilton, Mass.) posted a 48.77 in the 100 free, which was good for fourth, while Kyle Bauer was fourth in the 200 breast with a 2:30.50.

In the diving events, Valmore Stewart (Windsor, Conn.) placed third on both boards.

The Pride will host Keene State and Wheaton on Saturday, November 19 in its home opener in a weekend in which Springfield College will celebrate 100 years of swimming and diving at The College.
