Springfield, Mass. - March 21, 2018 - After leading the men's lacrosse team to a pair of impressive non-conference wins last week, Springfield College's Jack Vail (Franklin, Mass.) was chosen to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III National Team of the Week.
Vail was one of 10 student-athletes from across the country to be recognized on a national level for his efforts on the field for the Pride.
The Business Management major registered six goals, including a pair of game winners, to go along with two assists for eight points. In helping Springfield secure its first win over Cortland in 18 years, Vail delivered four goals and two assists as the Pride knocked off the sixth-ranked Red Dragons in Virginia Beach. On Sunday afternoon, Vail potted a pair of goals, including the game winner with 1:23 left in double overtime, in the Pride's 8-7 victory over Endicott on Stagg Field.
