Men's Gymnastics Lands Four All-America Honors In Second Day of USAG Collegiate Championships

Colorado Springs, Colo. - March 31, 2018 - Highlighted by a pair of national runner-up performances, the Springfield College men's gymnastics program had a great showing in the second and final day of the USAG Collegiate Championships at the Air Force Academy on Saturday.

A day after finishing second in the all-around competition, Springfield's Stephen Lewis (Baltimore, Md.) took second in the vault as he recorded a 14.200 in the event.  Teammate Jannik Haas (San Jose, Calif.) also took national runner-up honors on the parallel bars as the junior delivered a 13.300.  Haas also competed on the horizontal bar on Saturday, and tied for fifth after registering a 12.450.  Springfield's Joshua Dieker (Oviedo, Fla.) also represented the Pride on the rings and was credited with a 13.050, and concluded the competition in sixth place.

For their efforts, all three gymnasts earn All-America honors in their respective events, bringing Springfield's total of national honors to six for the weekend, as both Dieker and Lewis garnered awards in the all-around on Friday evening.

Springfield will now gear up for the ECAC Championships, which will take place on Saturday, April 7 at Navy in Annapolis, Md.
