Men's Gymnastics Falls To Army and William & Mary

West Point, Mass. - February 24, 2018 - Competing against William & Mary and Amy on Saturday afternoon, the Springfield College men's gymnastics team finished third after totaling 373.750 points.  Army won the competition with a 385.00, while William & Mary finished the day with a 379.800. 

Chris Graff (Old Bridge, N.J.) won the all-around competition with a 77.700, while Joshua Dieker (Ovieda, Fla.) was third with a 75.75 and Stephen Lewis (Baltimore, Md.) took fourthwith a 75.300.

Lewis won the vault with a 14.200 and had the second-best score on the rings after deliving a 13.650.  Springfield's Phil Ordonez (Jacksonville, Fla.) also had a second-place showing on the high bar after he posted an 11.800.

Matthew Koy (Parlin, N.J.) had the Pride's best mark on the floor exercise with a 13.250, while Graff was credited with a 13.200 and Lewis earned a 12.600.  On the pommel horse, Graff produced a 12.600 to finish in fourth, Lewis hit for a 11.650 and Jack Vollo (Webster, N.Y.) earned a 11.500. 

On the rings, Graff closely followed Lewis as he tied for third with a 13.600, and Dieker chipped in a 12.800, while Dieker nailed a 13.900 on the vault and Graff contributed a 13.800.

Jannik Haas (San Jose, Calif.) took third on the parallel bars after scoring a 13.600, while Graff totaled a 13.330 and both Dieker and Mike Grimaldi (Middletown, N.J.) were awarded 13.250's.  On the high bar, Dieker scored a 11.400 and Lewis posted an 11.300.  

Next up for Springfield will be a showdown in Blake Arena with Navy at 1pm on March 4.
