Men's Gymnastics Lands Six All-America Recognitions at USAG Championships

Colorado Springs, Colo. - March 21, 2015 - The Springfield College men's gymnastics team had four student-athletes earn a total of six All-America honors in the second day of the USAG Championships on Saturday at the Air Force Academy.

Tucker McClure (San Jose, Calif.) had a sensational showing for the Pride as he took home national honors on the vault, floor exercise, and high bar.  The Biology major finished fifth on the vault (14.150), and sixth on the floor (14.150) and high bar (13.700)

Both Pat Ryther (Boston, Mass.) and Jon Zirna (East Amherst, N.Y.) shined on the pommel horse and each garnered All-America recognition.  Zirna finished as the runner up with a 14.650, while Ryther's 13.800 was good enough for sixth place. 

Additionally, Joshua Dieker (Oveida, Fla.) garnered the first All-America honor of his young career as he took fifth on the rings after recording a 14.200.

Springfield will compete in the ECAC/EIGL Championships next weekend at West Point.
