Baseball Sweeps Coast Guard to Win First NEWMAC West Division Series

New London, Conn. - April 6, 2019 - The Springfield College baseball team rebounded from its extra-inning loss on Friday afternoon with two wins over Coast Guard on Saturday, winning the Pride's first New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) West Division series of the season. The maroon and white defeated the Bears, 8-4, in game one, before knocking off the hosts, 14-7, to complete the doubleheader sweep.

Pitching Dominance Helps Baseball Past Colby-Sawyer, 4-0

Springfield, Mass - April 2, 2019 - The Springfield College baseball team dropped a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) contest, 12-3, to Wheaton on Tuesday afternoon at Archie Allen Field. The loss drops the Pride to 9-9 overall and 3-3 in conference play, while Wheaton, which was No. 23 in the latest American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Division III National Rankings, improves to 15-4 on the year and 6-0 against league opponents.

Springfield, Mass. - March 31, 2019 - The Springfield College baseball team was able to best visting Westfield State, 8-2, in a non-conference make-up game on Sunday afternoon at Archie Allen Field. The win bumps the Pride's record to 9-8 and the loss drops the Owls to 9-5.

Baseball Earns Split in NEWMAC Doubleheader with MIT

Springfield, Mass. - March 30, 2019 - The Springfield College baseball team split a doubleheader with MIT on Saturday afternoon in its first New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) matchup on Archie Allen Field this season. The split brings the Pride to a 8-8 overall record and 3-2 in conference action while the Engineers move to 8-6-1 with a 1-1 mark in league play.

Springfield, Mass. - March 27, 2019 - Behind an impressive pitching performance from freshman Brendan Kirck (Hamden, Conn.) and a historic home run off the bat of Jake Gleason (South Dennis, Mass.), the Springfield College baseball team defeated Dean College, 3-2, on Wednesday afternoon at Archie Allen Field. The victory boosts the Pride's record to 7-7 and drops the Bulldogs to 3-11 on the year.
