  • Football Storms Past WPI, 42-10, In NEWMAC Opener

    Springfield, Mass. - September 23, 2017 - Playing in its first-ever New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) game, the Springfield College football team stormed past WPI, 42-10, on Stagg Field Saturday afternoon. The Pride's rushing attack was sensational on the day as it produced 574 yards on the ground, averaging 9.0 yards per carry.

    Springfield, Mass. - September 23, 2017 - Senior midfielder Danny Murphy (Old Saybrook, Conn.) found the back of the net just 9:55 into the second half, a goal that proved to be the difference, as the nationally-ranked Springfield College men's soccer team defeated Babson College, 1-0, in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play on Saturday afternoon at Brock-Affleck Field.
  • Women's Cross Country Races Among Nation's Best at Purple Valley Classic

    Williamstown, Mass. - September 23, 2017 - The Springfield College women's cross country braved the heat and raced at the Purple Valley Classic, a 6k course hosted by Williams College at Mount Greylock High School on Saturday afternoon. The meet featured nine teams that are currently in the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III National Rankings, as out of the teams that finished in the top 10, six were among the nation's best.

    Williamstown, Mass. - September 23, 2017 - Led by another impressive performance from senior Jack Pinho (Prospect, Conn.), the Springfield College men's cross country team competed at the Purple Valley Classic, an 8k course hosted by Williams College at Mount Greylock High School on a hot Saturday afternoon.

    Springfield, Mass. - September 23, 2017 - Despite a first-half goal from Dakota Kelly (Bethany, Conn.), the Springfield College women's soccer team could not find the back of the net in the second half and suffered its first loss of the season, a 2-1 decision to Emerson in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play on Saturday afternoon at Brock-Affleck Field.

    Danbury, Conn. - September 19, 2017 - The Springfield College trio of Ciara Boucher (Manchester, Conn.), Anagabrielle Sanchez (Caguas, Puerto Rico) and Christian Humulock (Narragansett, R.I.) were recognized for their outstanding efforts last week by earning regional accolades from the Eastern College Athletic Conference.  Boucher was was selected as the ECAC Division III North Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, Sanchez was tabbed the ECAC Division III North Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, while Humulock was chosen as the ECAC Division III North Football Special Teams Player of the Week.
