Springfield College Introduces Springfield Squad Rewards App For 2018-19 Academic Calendar

Springfield, Mass. - September 11, 2018 - Springfield College is excited to announce the debut of the "Springfield Squad" Rewards App, available for download on all Apple and Android devices currently. The app serves as a loyalty and engagement platform for students, with a points rewards system for attending athletic events and student activities throughout the 2018-19 athletic calendar.

Students can download the app by searching "SuperFan" and then selecting "Springfield Squad".  By creating an account with their Springfield College email address, students will be provided push notifications alerting them about upcoming home games, new prizes, and additional opportunities to earn points.  All Springfield College Athletics home events are free of charge for undergraduate students.

"As a former student-athlete and coach, I understand the impact that comes with playing in front of a great crowd," Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Enhancement Michelle Lee Scecina said. "As we look to continue to provide a first-class experience to our student-athletes, partnering with SuperFanU allows us to provide additional incentives to our student body to attend our home events.  Our in-game environment is amplified when our students support their peers, and we look forward to continuing to build upon our recent momentum."

Students will earn Springfield Squad App points for attendance of an event when they are in the designated GPS space during the allotted time frame. For all featured super fan events as listed on the app, students will be able to earn additional points for checking in at varying times throughout the game, encouraging them to stay throughout the duration.

Point valuations will be allotted to all home sporting events throughout 2018-2019. The first opportunity students have to earn points is Tuesday, September 11 when the Springfield College women's volleyball team hosts No. 17 MIT in Blake Arena at 6 pm.
