Thompson Awarded Highest Honor From National Strength and Conditioning Association

Nashville, Tenn. - March 28, 2017 - Earlier this spring, Springfield College's Director of Strength and Conditioning, Dr. Brian Thompson, was awarded the RSCC*E recognition, the highest honor given by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  

Thompson was presented with the honor at the annual NSCA National Conference.  The current Director of Strength and Conditioning/Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, Professor of Exercise Science, and the Graduate Strength and Conditioning Program Director at Springfield College, Thompson was recognized for his expertise and leadership.  To date, Thompson is one of only 88 strength and conditioning coaches in the nation to have received the RSCC*E recognition. 

Under his direction, Springfield College has produced some of the finest strength and conditioning coaches in the country, with alums coaching in the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL, as well at the NCAA Division I, II, and III levels, and in the private sector.
