Jess Clemens, Women's Gymnastics

Jess Clemens (South Setauket, N.Y.) of the women's gymnastics team has been honored as the Springfield College Athletics Maroon Club Female Student-Athlete of the Week following a record-breaking performance at the Don Tonry Invitational this past weekend.

Clemens, a senior Sports Biology major at Springfield College, produced a season-best 38.300 in the all-around competition, leading the Pride to a team score of 188.200 competing against Yale, Bridgeport and Southern Connecticut. Highlighting Clemens' performance was her uneven bars routine, where she scored a 9.800 and broke the women's gymnastics program record which was held by Lauren Pocius, who posted a 9.775 in 2014. Clemens also notched a 9.625 on beam, a 9.475 on floor and a 9.400 on vault.
